Fresh off of releasing his deluxe album STILL+, TOBi had pulled another surprise from the vault. He released the visuals to the “24’“ remix featuring Haviah Mighty, Jazz Cartier, Ejji Smith and host of Netflix’s Hip-Hop Evolution – Shad. With this powerhouse of artists on a Take A DayTrip instrumental, you know you’re in for something good.
The video directed by Kit Weyman takes you around Toronto, more specifically the Sherbourne and Portlands area. The visuals stay true to the song and consistently sticks to the meaning of living to see another “24”. With each artist having a crowd of youth around them for each verse, it can interpreted that they are looking out for the next generation paving the way.
TOBi explains the following:
“For this video, I welcomed the mind of artists who are pushing back against societal norms and making a statement that we are more than our expectations. I took the opportunity to aim at changing the narratives that have existed before we were born, especially as it relates to Toronto,” via SONY.
TOBi is STILL fairly new to the music industry and has already received more recognition than your average. With a break-out year in 2019, TOBi is only getting better as the clock ticks. We’re excited for this hometown artist and waiting to see what else he has stashed in the vault.
