Mac Miller was a revolutionist and icon that is going to be celebrated for the successful life he made for himself when rap was desperately trying to keep him out.
The artist of the new age opened new doors for people to talk about their emotions in the industry, proving that a rapper did not have to rap about record numbers, money and alcohol, but instead could rap about the struggles of finding love, the good memories in life, and most importantly addictions to drugs which ultimately took Mac Miller’s life on September 7, 2018.
Mac leaves behind many projects, ranging from his instant-hit K.I.D.S to his album dedicated to Ariana Grande The Divine Feminine, all of which led to his final album Swimming that released on August 3 this year. All of these projects culminated in his final album which broke boundaries and allowed the fans to see what was going on in his mind after a turbulent couple of months following his break-up with Arianna starting with when he crashed his Benz Truck shortly after the news broke.
People who had the best life, worst, or even just regular lives could relate to Mac because of his relatable message of how his life was going. Through the ups-and- downs, Mac kept us feeling like we were not alone in our battles.
Mac Miller effected and affected so many people in the world today, from fans who loved his relatable flow-and-message to artists like Chance the Rapper, who Mac took on tour and exposed the world to, and MGK, who as a white rapper in the early 2010s had an easier path to signing with P-Diddy because of the pathways opened by Mac Miller in a stereotyped industry.
The rap game took to social media to post memories or thoughts on Mac’s passing, all stating nothing but the best about the groundbreaking rapper.
Chance took to social media to thank Mac one last time, “I dont know what to say Mac Miller took me on my second tour ever. But beyond helping me launch my career he was one of the sweetest guys I ever knew.”

Logic also went on twitter praising Mac, “You were a huge inspiration on my come up. Thank you for the countless hours of fun listening to your music with my homies!”
Mac Miller was supposed to shoot a video with Ben Baller and Cole Bennett the day of his passing. Mac Miller’s family has yet to comment on the reports as they are presumably grieving the shocking news and their privacy is being respected.
And for all of the artists on the come-up that were inspired by his music, “Take over the world when you’re on that Donald Trump shit” cause that’s exactly the message Mac Miller has left all of us with.
