Created by childhood classmates and newly engaged partners- Sébastien Meyer and Anaud Vaillant are the masterminds behind the French designer brand, Coperni. Having been able to make a name for itself through the creation and collaboration of the Coperni x Home in Heaven Glass Bag- Coperni has taken on even greater heights.
After the debut of the Glass Bag, Coperni took it to another level with their classic Swipe Bag and collaborations with Alan Crocetti and Gentle Monster. Having been able to exponentially grow their brand throughout 2022, Coperni truly made their mark in the fashion industry with their Spray-On Dress that was showcased earlier this week in their Paris Fashion Week SS23 Collection.
The dress itself was worn by supermodel Bella Hadid, as she entered the runway wearing nothing, she was quickly sprayed by two designers with a white substance that formed to her body to create a jaw dropping white off the shoulder dress. The dress itself is made from Fabrican- a spray on material that hardens into a wearable garment. The dress is an homage to what Meyer and Vaillant view as a celebration of women’s silhouettes from centuries past as it accentuates Bella Hadid’s body- as she has been the face of fashion within the past year.
This reveal and exhibit of what Coperni and science has been able to add to the fashion industry is incredible, as the idea of Fabrican opens designers up to the endless possibilities of what will be able to be created in the future.
