Scandinavian R&B musician Thorgan returns to the music scene after a brief hiatus with his first 12-track studio album, Tenebris.

The neo-soul artist debuted his longest project to date on March 26, 2021. Titled after the Latin word for darkness, Thorgan’s EP is soaked in deep melodic R&B tracks and bass-forward synth-y deep house singles. Inspired by artists like Black Atlass, Aaryan Shah, and The Weeknd, Thorgan prefers to inject moody, melancholic themes into his music. Writing and producing since the age of 15, the musician is entirely self-taught.

The third single off Tenebris, “Dagger”, is accompanied by a sexy music video with angel/demon imagery, a doomed romance, and a kidnapping plot that turns to tragedy. Thorgan donns black angel wings as he and his lover are filmed holding each other intimately under cascading water, until the young woman is snatched by what appear to be cyber-punk criminals. Thorgan comes to her rescue, only to be betrayed, and stabbed in the chest by the woman he was attempting to save.

Linking with producers NGHTIME! And Tuomas Kantelinen, Tenebris is shaping up to be Thorgan’s strongest release yet.
