Toronto based R&B artist Emanuel releases his newest EP ‘Session 2: Transformation’, the second chapter in his ongoing process to complete the ALT Therapy album.

The Session 2: Transformation EP is composed of 4 tracks, each with its own unique and mesmerizing composition. ‘Magazines’ is the opening track which sets the tone perfectly and gives his new EP a three dimensional vibe. It truly highlights Emanuel’s strong, yet smooth vocals which will be a common factor throughout his music. All four songs are accompanied by slow and minimal instrumentals that compliments Emanuel’s musical style.

‘Black Woman’ is the second song on the Transformation EP. The message that is carried throughout the 4 minute track is expressed in a way that has gained attention and was included in the ‘10 Best Canadian Songs of the Month’ by Complex. The EP includes a remixed version which is the last and final track, reworked by multi Grammy Award winning producer Supa Dups and chart-topping reggae icon Tarrus Riley.

“This is a legendary link-up!” says Emanuel. “I know Tarrus Riley from going to the parties of my Jamaican friends where they play music that’s big and nostalgic for them. His song ‘She’s Royal’ is just huge, people are still bumping it in 2020! I think people really appreciate the legacy of that song and the link up is really big for what ‘Black Woman’ means and what I want the legacy of ‘Black Woman’ to be. To have him on it, it felt like the stars were aligning. I think the impact that this will have to the diaspora is amazing.”

Emanuel was named Apple Music’s New Artist of the Week, one of Amazon Music’s Artists to Watch, a Soundcloud Featured Artist, and a Spotify “On The Radar” Artist. He has racked up a total of about 13 million streams and counting. This Summer, Emanuel became the first ever artist to be chosen for Spotify’s On The Radar program in Canada and was also named the Beats Artist of the Week.

Emanuel has the ability to translate a message seamlessly in his music. The ‘Transformations’ EP focuses on the beauty within self growth and the appreciation of oneself. It’s a work of art that is magic for the ears with messages that can be easily consumed by listeners. The ‘Session 2: Transformation’ EP is art for the mind and soul.
