Five months after releasing his debut album, rising star Houdini is back with his second body of work, Hou Woulda Thought. The 15 track album sees Houdini stay true to his sound, producing his signature auto tuned singing paired with raps about his struggles and the come up. In ‘Belmont Boyz’ Houdini expresses that he is constantly misunderstood and is just getting his bands up while flowing over a bass heavy melodic beat. The Jane and Driftwood Star also continues to express his ties and relations in ‘Big Crip’ as well as spitting bars about being the new trend setter in ‘Top seller’. Mixed and Mastered by Vancouver native Benji Beatz the album is stacked with hits, Houdini expresses that “Benji deserves most improved engineer award no cap!”. With the entire album being recorded on the west coast (Vancouver and Los Angeles) it is clear to see that Houdini was in his bag, putting his head down and creating with no distractions from the bustling streets of Toronto. Overall Hou Woulda Thought is another successful body of work from the rising talent. With the work rate Houdini has, it is inevitable that the west end star will continue to solidify his place in the rap game.
