The Toronto Raptors re-name their training facility to the “OVO Athletic Centre”.
The Raptors have been getting constantly better each year, with a wild 2018-19 season that reshaped the whole team. Since Drake has been the “Global Ambassador” as of 2013, he’s contributed a lot to the team such as OVO alternative jerseys, hardwood floor designs and the notorious 2016 All Star Weekend.
As of March 14th, the formerly known “BioSteel Centre” has been re-named to the “OVO Athletic Centre”. The training facility has been re-designed with a OVO theme inside-out. The change will also provide the players with new OVO styled practice gear.
Toronto Raptors Owner Masai Ujiri had the following to say about the recent adjustments :
“Drake and OVO are an important part of our city’s landscape, our team’s identity, and our plans to bring a championship to Toronto (…) With each step of our partnership over the last five and a half years, we have worked together to build a winning basketball program in Toronto and deliver for our fans and our community.”
All basketball fans in city are looking forward to the post-season as the Raptors have the best team roster to date. They look to go for gold and bring home a championship for the first time in franchise history.
If you’re driving down the Gardiner Expressway in the west-end of the city, make sure to look out for the newly designed training facility.
