Toronto’s own, KILLY, is proving from project to project that he is not one to be slept on. The underground rap star is back, dropping his 5 track EP, ‘“KILLSTREAK”, releasing the heat within his vault.
The project comes just in time for his set a Rolling Loud this weekend, building up the hype for Bay Area and the rest of his fans elsewhere who will be the first to experience the EP live and at full effect at the massive rap festival.
The overall project is a strong one, bringing in nothing but quality songs with a mix of different vibes in each track. The EP starts off with his signature, dark, melodic trap style introducing the songs “CHUPACABRA” and “ANTI EVERYBODY” making you want to head-bang. He then switches it up with “EARNED IT” bringing in more of a chill vibe. On the last two tracks it seems as if the Toronto artist is experimenting with different sounds, as “HELLRAISER” is more on the metal side of rap and “BEAUTIFUL PT.2” exposes more of his vocal abilities. The stand out production from Wondagurl, Y2K, FrancisGotHeat and more speaks to the talent contributed to the work. Its safe to say that KILLY truly is on a kill streak, shutting down all of his haters with each project he puts out.
