The Rexdale producer and now rap star Nav has been in and out of the top charts in the industry for a couple years now, but somehow before the rap fame Nav was already a star that flew under the radar.

Before releasing his first hit “Up” and “Some Way” ft. The Weeknd, as well as featuring in Travis Scott’s “Biebs in the Trap”, Nav was already putting in the work behind the scenes co-writing and producing one of Drake’s biggest hits Meek Mill Diss track, “Back to Back”. As well as producing for Drake, Nav has produced for a lot of other heavy hitters in the music industry such as Gucci Mane, Kodak Black and A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie. After working for Drake on “Back To Back”, Drake returned the favour by featuring Nav on OVO Sound Radio which is broadcasted by Britains biggest radio platform BBC Radio 1. The feature on OVO Sound gave Nav the exposure that he needed to push his career from being a low key producer to a star in the rap industry. Two months later he would feature in Travis Scott’s hit album Birds in the Trap sing McKnight on “Beibs in the Trap” with his biggest feature to date. Five months later Nav released “Some Way” featuring The Weeknd which would become his best selling song going platinum and peaking at number 1 on Soundcloud.

Some would say that Nav has been an over night success within the hip hop community, but the work behind the scenes with his engineering and writing is what really contributed to the continued rise of the producer turned rap stars career.
