Canadian rapper, NAV released his second project of the year on Friday, “Emergency Tsunami”, including 14 tracks.

NAV comes full force on continuing his wave, “you could just tell this was really different, instantly…I mean it just picked up with intensity, it ramped up,” he adds in “Breaking News Intro” to perfectly nail the description of his mixtape.

The XO artist joined forces with Atlanta producer Wheezy, to create the full-length project. This isn’t the first time the two have collaborated together to make hits. Wheezy has also produced on NAV’s “Good Intentions” album, including the single, “Turks” featuring Travis Scott and Gunna that reached its gold status in Canada and platinum in the United States.

“Tsunami Boys”, are what the duo refer to themselves as on social media, a great name for the two and a possible hint at future projects together. NAV also referred to Wheezy as his twin and it’s clear that they’ve shared the same vision throughout the entire project.

Production also included XO co-founder Cash, as the executive producer and Mike Dean, who mastered the album.

NAV incorporates his classic, smooth style of rapping on “Emergency Tsunami” with head-bopping beats that bounce, twist and turn. The rapper is on top of his game, and he’s telling everyone why in his “flex-filled” lyrics, “lost 100k, no biggie,” he raps on “Make It Right Back”.

The album features Young Thug, Lil Baby and Gunna, who all have worked with NAV and Wheezy in the past. Lil Keed and SahBabii, other artists that feature on the project, add their own flows to create a different dynamic and give “Emergency Tsunami” just the right amount of dimension that it needs.

In addition to the album release, NAV and Wheezy gifted their fans with a music video for “Friends & Family”.
