It’s been a couple of blue moons since Daniel Caesar gave us a body of work – 2 years to be exact. Since he released Freudian back in 2017, the R&B artist has stayed relatively quiet besides touring and releasing a few songs. That all changed at midnight when he dropped his new album “CASE STUDY 01”.
Case Study 01 is a 10-track list album that is 40 minutes of nothing but quality R&B. The young singer landed himself some dope features that include Brandy, Sean Leon, Jacob Collier and music legends John Mayer and Pharrell. As far as production, credits go to Daniel Caesar, Jordan Evans, Matthew Burnett, The Neptunes & Boi-1da.
Case Study 01 enters a realm of a more electric and beat-heavy sound with these new 10 songs. It also contains deep heart-felt lyrics that clearly are not surface material.
Daniel Caesar has come a long way from sharing some tunes at your local downtown pubs, to performing at multiple cities around the world. He recently won his first Grammy for Best R&B Performance for “The Best Part”. With this surprise album the fans are gifted a treat just in time for summer. As always, we look forward to more Daniel Caesar magic in the future.
