Travis Scott wants to take you on a ride with his newest album Astroworld, named after the Six Flags Amusement Park in Houston he would visit as a child to escape. He preluded this in his track Watch with Kanye and Lil Uzi where Travis sampled a old news segment of a kid “This is the last ride I’m ever gonna take in atroworld” before Travis’s Astroworld was closed for good.

Travis reclaims his lost childhood Astroworld by taking over Six Flags for a day for his album listening party. bringing an giant inflatable statue head of himself to showcase the release.

That’s what it’s going to sound like, like taking an amusement park away from kids. And we want it back. We want the building back. That’s why I’m doing it. It took the fun out of the city.

Travis brings heavy features on board to execute his vision with Drake, The Weekend, Nav, Frank Ocean, 21 Savage, Juice WRLD, Sheck Wes, Swae Lee, Pharell Quavo and Takeoff. Massive Production from top producers Hit-Boy, Mike Dean, Wundagurl and even Australian psychedelic group Tame Impala for a track.

Travis uses Astroworld as a way to look into the past through nostalgic lenses and reflection on any stolen innocence. His most fond childhood memories of spending his days playing in the Astroworld were taken away when they destroyed it to build new condos.

His second album cover uses Astroworld to show how the hedonistic tendencies in Travis come out after his childhood innocence is taken away. Travis is bringing Astroworld back to houston in an entirely new light.
