A$AP Rocky models for Raf Simmon’s new Calvin Klein designs featuring an homage to past Americana fashion styles. Earlier this year Rocky has also worked with Calvin Klein to film a #MYCALVINS ad with all of A$AP Mob.
The Calvin Klein ambassador has switched up his Instagram for the brand. Currently there are only 2 pictures on A$AP’s Instagram, which are of him and Dev Hynes (Blood Orange) and of the #CKEST1978 Calvin Klein releases.
Since taking over as creative director for Calvin Klein in 2017, Raf Simmons has been experimenting with a nostalgic All-American theme. This can be seen through the consistent use of red, white and blue and the vintage renditions of the star spangled banner throughout his designs.
We can see Raf’s Vision expanded even further in a video released earlier this year that showcases retro americana styles through plaid patterns and cowboy styled boots. The Calvin Klein video shot in Red Hook Brooklyn plays on a german phrase that translate to “it must be”. This is playing on the idea of innevidability against the power that our decisions have in shaping our future.
