Jay Whiss of the Prime Boys is back with a new banger that will keep the city’s head bumpin’ with the first click of the play button.
It’s been a while since Jay Whiss has released new music, not since his Dark Cloud EP back in early June to be exact. Nevertheless, it has been worth the wait as the Prime Boy member has just given us a sneak peak into his debut album that is set to release in early 2020.
Jay Whiss released “Valet” featuring Regent Park’s very own Puffy L’z. Jay lays down some creative bars with a flow that rides the Canadian legend Murda Beatz’s greasy but clean production perfectly. In addition, Puffy L’z throws down a verse that adds the cherry on top of the hot new single. It’s no surprise that with this Canadian trio on the track that this release was going to set the bar high.
Jay Whiss had the following to say about the new release via Universal Music Canada:
“It was a beat of Murda’s I had been sitting on for about a year, I was just waiting for it to speak to me when I played it in the studio. I recorded the hook and realized it had the perfect bop for Puffy L’z sound. Me and him have a relationship beyond music so we just linked up at our boy Amir Jamm’s studio.”
The visuals shot by TunnelVisionTO matches up perfectly with the song as he captures Jay Whiss along with the Prime Boys and Puffy in their element, flexing but also just being themselves and catching a vibe.
2020 is looking bright for the Prime Boys as we can expect big plans for them.
Watch Valet now and stream it on all platforms. As always, Prime Forever.
